MPP Clark and Minister Cho announce Inclusive Community Grant for Front of Yonge Township

Ontario providing $45,554 to improve accessibility at Mallory Coach House
MALLORYTOWN — Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, joined the Hon. Raymond Cho, Ontario’s Minister for Seniors and Accessibility, today to announce Inclusive Community Grants Program funding for Front of Yonge Township.
The municipality will receive $45,554 through the program to improve accessibility by installing benches and ramp access to the Mallory Coach House, in addition to other improvements to the facility.
“Funding through programs like the Inclusive Community Grants are vital to help our small, rural municipalities maintain their public facilities and ensure they are accessible to all,” said MPP Clark, who made the announcement with Minister Cho prior to a luncheon at the Mallory Coach House. “I’m thrilled that Minister Cho could join us today to see firsthand how this investment by his ministry and our government is making a real impact in the community.”
“Inclusive communities create more accessible environments for older adults and people with disabilities to participate in all aspects of community life,” said Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility. “Through the Inclusive Community Grants Program, we are fostering community involvement and fighting social isolation by removing barriers to help Ontarians stay active, healthy and independent.”
The investment in the Inclusive Community Grants Program has increased to up to $1.55 million for this years 18 projects. Since this initiative was created in 2020, it has provided over $5 million to support 125 projects promoting inclusivity and accessibility in Ontario.
“The Township is very thankful to the Ministry for providing the funds necessary to complete these projects,” said Roger Haley, Front of Yonge Township Mayor. “These additions will enhance and improve accessibility to visitors to the Mallory Coach House.”
