KEMPTVILLE — MPP Steve Clark was pleased to host a small recognition ceremony for Ontario Senior Achievement Award winner and Kemptville’s own Linda Carnegie on Friday, March 8 at the North Grenville Municipal Centre. The Ontario Senior Achievement Awards recognize people who have made outstanding contributions to their communities through voluntary or professional activities after the age of 65.

“I’m so proud that Linda Carnegie has been recognized as one of Ontario’s outstanding seniors for her remarkable contributions to the community of North Grenville,” said Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes. “Her years of dedicated service as a volunteer with Beth Donovan Hospice, Holy Cross Catholic School and Kemptville District Hospital are an inspiration and have made a difference in the lives of so many. Thank you, Linda, for your tireless efforts and for demonstrating how seniors are making our communities better places for everyone to call home.”

On hand Friday to congratulate Linda were members of her family and representatives of several organizations she volunteers with. North Grenville Mayor, Nancy Peckford, Kemptville District Hospital CEO, Frank Vasallo, Beth Donovan Hospice Executive Director, Susan Walker and Holy Cross Principal, Julia Jesmer.
